RAACA NSW -Questions on Notice
Following the appearance of the RAACA NSW representatives at the Senate Enquiry into the Management of Defence Estate Assets, the Association was asked to provide answers to Questions on Notice. Our response is shown below.

On 4 May 2026, Major General Michael Krause AM and Brigadier Philip Bridie AM (Rtd) represented RAACA NSW at the Senate Inquiry into the Management of Defence Estate Assets. They joined the President of the Royal NSW Lancers Memorial Museum and Association, Len Koles, in providing testimony related to the proposed divestiture of Lancer Barracks and other facilities.

RAACA NSW Submission to Senate Inquiry
RAACA NSW made the following submission to the Senate Inquiry into the Management of Defence Estate Assets. The Association has specifically raised concerns in regard to the proposed divestment of Lancer Barracks and the adverse impacts to Army Reserve capability, ADF recruiting, support to Cadets and the loss of heritage of the RAAC.
The Government has released the Delivering the Future Estate: Defence Estate Audit Report which includes the following recommendations:
